Crop Protection Antitrust Lawsuits
On September 29, 2022, the FTC and several state attorneys general filed a lawsuit against Syngenta and Corteva for alleged illegal anticompetitive behavior related to crop protection “loyalty agreements”. Additional lawsuits have been filed alleging that these agricultural companies participated in a scheme to block rival crop protection producers from competing. As a result of these anticompetitive behaviors, it is alleged that less expensive products have been kept out of the market, increasing prices for American farmers.
If you are a farmer who has purchased Syngenta and/or Corteva’s chemical products, you may have a claim.
