Salaried Employees

Salaried employees may be eligible for overtime pay.

Salaried employees are frequently called “exempt” employees as employers are not required to pay them overtime under the FLSA. However, before an employer can call an employee “exempt” from overtime pay they must meet strict standards under very specific exemptions.

  1. Administrative Exemption
  2. Professional Exemption
  3. Executive Exemption
  4. Computer Professional Exemption

Each exemption requires analysis based on salary level and job duties.
